As we celebrate Women’s Month in South Africa with gratitude for what strong women have achieved, Protect our Next is proud to have several women in our team who have long been leading the struggle for stronger tobacco control legislation in the country to protect our public health and stop vulnerable youth from becoming addicted to nicotine.

We now stand on the cusp of the new Tobacco Control Bill being passed as parliament has decided that the National Assembly will resume proceedings on the Control of Tobacco Products and Electronic Delivery Systems Bill as a vital step forward for public health in South Africa.
